Dave Lum's new BAD RIDE (Sorry this page loads slow, but really, I don't feel like making thumbnails, ok?) I am tired of all the local Civic's and 'Teg's getting all the attention around my place, so I don't get mad, I get EVEN. With the help of my wife Sara and my buddies Paul Ruschman and Ron Tyler (both very responsible for our lame-ass - when compared to this car - V6 510) I think we succeeded. First, we proved that Chevy Celebrities are totally under-rated when it comes to horsepower. Look at the smoke we got from this stocker. Please note this was BEFORE we put the (Folger's) coffee-can tip and masking tape racing stripes on the car. "What's the AJAX dish soap for?" you ask? Long story, but back in "the day", I used to have this 1987 Sentra automatic. Couldn't do a burnout until we soaked the ground with water and poured DAWN dish soap on the ground. We got an awesome sudsy burnout (there were bubbles, really!). We tried to duplicate this with Ron's Celebrity, which was recently back from freshly beating a Corvette at an autocross (it was raining, but I digress). Since the Celebrity is so much more powerful than the Sentra, all we got was legitimate tire smoke. Either that, or AJAX isn't as slippery as DAWN... It was about this time when the speedometer got up to an indicated 25MPH! WOW!!! John Force, LOOK OUT!!!
